South Africa’s 7th Women-Only Martial Arts Seminar will once again take place on 15 August 2026. Following the great success of last year’s updated format, this year’s event promises to be another exciting and inspiring day.
This multi-discipline martial arts seminar brings together a variety of martial arts styles, taught by some of South Africa’s leading female instructors. The seminar is open to all female martial artists aged 16 and older*, and women with no martial arts experience are also warmly welcome to attend.
*Girls aged 12 and older who already practice a martial art may also apply to participate.
Our aim is to enrich and empower women through martial arts, creating an environment where knowledge and experience can be shared across different styles and disciplines. By bringing practitioners together, we encourage learning, growth, and the opportunity for newcomers to discover the benefits of martial arts. Every style has something unique to offer, and there is always something new to learn from one another.
We continue to evolve and expand the event each year, and we are excited to introduce additional instructors and disciplines for 2026. This year we are also introducing BJJ and MMA, taught by Kiara Fegen. Our Karate team will feature Monique Lyons, joined by Madelein Coetzee and Sharon Walker, while Judo instructor Katja Bruwer will be joined by Danica van Zyl. With the addition of more instructors, some sessions will be split according to experience level, allowing participants to enjoy a more tailored and rewarding training experience.
